Present Spaces (2025)

A collection of abstract landscapes that illuminate the intersection of place, emotion, and personal presence. This collection is an invitation to slow down and step into a moment of peace. Present Spaces acknowledges a deeper, more personal narrative of overcoming fear and doubt to claim space in creative practice, on gallery walls, and in the broader art world.

The Mixed Media paintings in this collection includes both tactile and visual texture built from layers of color and mixed media elements. I work with recycled materials including tissue paper that has been hand painted with India ink and altered magazine pages. These elements are layered like a collage before I add color and contrast with acrylic paint. The softer acrylic paintings feature many layers of color built up over the creation process.
